Blades are the challengers of the abyss. They are the swords in the dragon. They leap into the darkness and divine the aether with shafts of whirlwind.

Blades are the most reckless and the most courageous of the three types. They are the units most likely to find themselves lost beyond all hope of rescue. The thread that binds them to this level of physical reality is tenuous if they are not careful. They must always be aware of the vibrations travelling between themselves and their root (their physical body), for there are other things out there listening, watching and waiting for the opening to take control of the vibrations and unlock the gate into the energy-filled physical world.
